  1. Operating procedure
  2.  
  3. 1)    Copy file estdes.*** to your directory.
  4.  
  5. 2)    Start Quatro Pro or Excel.
  6.  
  7. 3)    Open Steel Estimator from your directory.    
  8.  
  9. 4)    Start Steel Estimator by clicking on the input tab in the tab-bar.
  10.  
  11.     The input page will appear on the screen.
  12.  
  13. 5)    Enter the beam span, OWSJ span, building height, etc. as indicated.
  14.     On the right side of page you can preview results.
  15.     
  16. 6)      You can now view various pages of the spread sheet by clicking on the bottom
  17.     tabs, for example pages included are :
  18.  
  19.     * input page     - Summary of all input information
  20.     * Loads          - Calculation of building dead and live loads
  21.     * Design         - Design of structural members
  22.     * Summary        - Summary of building parameters and steel weight
  23.     * Estimate Sheet - Complete material take-off 
  24.  
  25. 7)    To print the results click on button located on the bottom of the input page.
